BDE: Reb Shlome Zev Breuer, z”l
We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Reb Shlomo
Zev Breuer, z”l. He was 93 years of age, a talmid chochom, and a pillar of the
Satmar chassidus.
With the blessing of the Satmar Rebbe, he arrived in America
on the last boat out of Hungary before the war. He arrived in America as a
bachur, but this country did not change him.
He resided for most of his life in Montreal, where he was
renowned for his diligence in learning, and as a figure of yiras Shomayim and
chassidus.
Fifteen years ago, he moved to Boro Park. Retired, he spent
his days immersed in learning. He would deliver shiurim in the Satmar
Beis Medrash in Boro Park. He also davened in the Volkoner Beis Medrash
on 57th Street. The niftar leaves behind a large family of
descendants who follow in his ways.
The levaya will take place at Volkon, 1468 57th
Street, at 6:00, and on the Beis Hachaim in Kiryas Yoel at 9:15.
