Brooklyn Botanical Garden to Exhibit, "For the Birds" this Summer

The NYC landmark, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, will be offering an interesting, fun, and free exhibit that focuses not just on plants, trees, and flowers, but on the birds that alight throughout the 52-acre paradise, as well.
Starting June 11 and running through October 23, the gardens will be exhibiting “For the Birds,” which will educate visitors about “the important connections between birds and plants,” according to thrillist.com.
Right in the nearby gardens, which are located in the heart of Brooklyn, architects, artists, and designers created more than 30 interesting and creative birdhouses for display.
Along with the fresh, fragrant air, and beautiful scenery, visitors can also listen to original pieces of music and poems at listening stations and live performances that were compiled by creative director Randall Poster, who titled his audio project, "For the Birds: The Birdsong Project."
Throughout the summer, "For the Birds" will offer many interesting activities and initiatives, such as a meditation experience in which participants focus on the sounds of nature and birds, which will take place on June 20 on the Cherry Esplanade.
On some summer Sundays, bird-watching enthusiasts will get the chance to join weekly birding tours from 11 am to 12 pm.
Visitors can enter the gardens at one of three entrances at 120 Eastern Parkway, 455 Flatbush Avenue, and 990 Washington Ave.
All events featured in "For the Birds" are free to attend with Garden admission unless otherwise noted as a ticketed event. For a complete list of the garden’s activities and for more information on tickets and events, readers can visit bbg.org.
