Captured Moment: Wollock Carpenters General Contractor

This week’s captured moment takes us to the offices of Wollock’s, located on one of the lower streets near the lower avenues. The building is constructed like many row homes in that area, and the address is written on the signage.

Answer to last week’s captured moment: 

Park Memorial Chapel was located at 4511 Fort Hamilton Parkway at least as early as 1940, and maybe even earlier. Subsequently, it was famously Shomrei Hadas, before they moved to their new location on 14th Avenue. Looking at the comparison photos, we can clearly see—even today—where the original chapel was, and which sections were later added on.
