Mayoral Aid Pinny Ringel to run for District Leader of 48th Assembly District

By: Boropark24 staff.

This evening, Pinny Ringel, who has been a liaison between our community and its elected officials for two decades, said that he will run for District Leader of the 48th assembly district, mounting a primary challenge to current leader David Schwartz, Hamodia reported.

Schwartz recently made history as the youngest person ever to be elected to this position when he won the office in 2016. He went on to serve as mayoral candidate Andrew Yang’s liaison to the Jewish community.

The position is an unpaid one, and involves selecting county leaders and judicial nominees for the party.

Ringel’s ability to run for this office came only recently, when his Kensington home narrowly made it into the 48th district during the most recent redistricting process.
