New Construction Project at P.S 164

Scaffolds went up at the public school, P.S 164, on 42nd Street and 14th Avenue in the heart of Boro Park. 

BoroPark24 spoke with the public-school department regarding the scaffolding and was told that construction projects were underway at the school.

The school will be replacing the HVAC and fire alarm systems throughout the building in a big ventilation project. 

They will be providing new steam and condensate piping and pumps for air handling units. On floors 1-4 they’re removing and replacing volume dampers in the corridors and replacing grilles for HVAC systems in the classrooms and offices. Power will also be provided for new HVAC equipment.
