Thousands of Boro Park Families Participate in Boro Park's First-Ever Yerid

By Idy Perl

Yesterday, 21st Ave was bustling with people and boxes as the first Yerid took place in Boro Park.

As the prices of household items keep rising, Pesach preparations have become financially stressful for majority of families.  The Yerid aimed to ease some of that stress by providing bulk household basics at cost price for whoever wanted, no questions asked. Each family received 22 boxes of various plastic goods, aluminum pans, and more.

The pickup location was at 21st Avenue and stretched over many blocks due to the sheer quantity of goods that were being distributed. The Yerid was extremely well organized, and hundreds of families picked up their assigned boxes easily and quickly. In addition to the announced paper goods that will be given, they added a case of grape juice and water in every order at no cost.

Thanks to the Yerid thousands of families in Boro Park will have an easier time making Pesach this year.
