The New York and New Jersey Port Authority announced that the price of an AirTrain ride to John F. Kennedy and Newark Airport terminals will increase by twenty-five cents next month due to inflation.
Tickets on the AirTrain shuttle service will cost $8.25 starting on March 5.
The last time the Port Authority raised its fare was a little over a year ago. The price hike in January 2022 also went up by twenty-five cents.
The increased fare, which was previously scheduled to go into effect on January 8, was delayed and will now go into effect on March 5.
