As Community Reels from Israel News, BB Gun Attacks in Boro Park

On Sunday afternoon, as the community was celebrating Simchas Torah, a suspect went on a BB gun shooting spree in the areas of Lawrence Avenue and McDonald Avenue, shattering glass from residents’ sukkos, and shattering the already-fragile stillness of Yom Tov, as Klal Yisroel reeled from the stream of horrifying news coming out of Eretz Yisroel, H”y.    

Three individuals were shot at by the suspect, and he caused property damage as well. In a separate incident, a suspect lobbed a glass bottle at a couple walking with their infant, narrowly missing them.   

Residents of the area felt that the attacks were directly linked to the events in Israel, and reported that the perpetrator seemed to be of Arab descent. 

Police were on the scene on motzei Yom Tov, but have not been able to find many clues as to the suspects identity or whereabouts.
