This week’s “captured moment’ brings you a towering apartment building in the center of Boro Park which was home to one of America’s most prominent Roshei Yeshiva and one of the greatest builders of Torah in the world, as well as the world’s most legendary chazzan. 

The building today continues to house Boro Park families who share the distinction with these two most legendary personalities.

Answer to last week’s Captured Moment: 

As many of our readers correctly identified, this is an almost-iconic intersection, famous for the “two Schwartz’s”—Schwartz’s shoe store on one side and Schwartz’s Appetizing on the other. 

Both establishments have since changed their signs, and forty years have elapsed since then, but they have continued to thrive and drawn throngs from the Boro Park community.
