Centers for Disease Control Issues Travel Advisory for NY, NJ & Con.
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) issued a travel advisory in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut urging all residence to refrain from “non-essential travel”.
The advisory comes after a request from President Donald Trump to the and hours after the president said he was considering a short term quarantine of “hot spots” in parts of the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut but backed down from the idea after discussing it with the States’ three governors.
The advisory does not include employees of critical infrastructure such as trucking, health professionals, finance services and food supply as these employees have a special responsibility to maintain normal work schedules defined by the Department of Homeland Security.
The CDC said that the state governors have full discretion on how to implement the travel advisory (whether to put fines on those caught breaking the advisory and such).
