Data From 37 Million T-Mobile Customers Hacked

by BoroPark24 Staff

T-Mobile US Inc. admitted yesterday that they discovered on Thursday, January 5, that the data for 37 million customer accounts had been hacked.

T-Mobile spokesmen reported that they stopped the information leak within a day by tracing it back to its source.

Although the investigation is ongoing, the hacker apparently obtained the information through a single entry point serving customer data without breaching T-Mobile's systems or network. This means that credit card information and personal identifying numbers remained out of reach of the hacker.
