Fire Truck Involved in Accident While Heading to Extinguish Fire at Car Mechanic Shop

A fire truck was involved in a minor accident on the way to extinguish a fire that broke out in a car mechanic shop on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 61st Street on Tuesday night.

The accident occurred at the intersection of 12th Avenue and 57th Street when a vehicle approaching the intersection failed to see the fire truck crossing and drive through a green light hitting the fire truck on the side.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby medical center, with the fire truck and vehicle suffering damage.
