Massive New “Paperific Development” Approved by City

The Paperific Supermarket has been a community institution for many years, and now a massive development will be built over it, according to the City Planning Department.

The property, which stands at 1459 38th Street, has now been rezoned to R6B zoning, allowing for adding much more square footage.

The development will hold 103,512 square feet of commercial space, a car garage with 63 parking spaces, and space for offices and an expanded supermarket.

New York City Planning released the following tweet as this rezoning was approved. “The @NYCCouncil voted to approve the Paperific rezoning, which will modernize and expand a local supermarket and create new office space in Borough Park, BK – bringing fresh produce and over 400 permanent jobs near the Church Ave F & G station. [this proposal shows] how we’re continuing to get stuff done and bring homes, jobs, fresh produce, and amenities to New Yorkers throughout the City.”
