NYPD Chiefs Ride Subways and Hear New Yorkers' Concerns

This afternoon, BoroPark24 hopped along with Deputy Chief Richie Taylor as he rode the subway, on the F line at 18th Ave and McDonald Ave, to meet subway riders and hear their concerns.
The Deputy Chief's subway trip was part of an initiative dubbed "Chief's on the Train", as New York City's finest sent their ranking chiefs to ride the subways and hear the concerns of New Yorkers who have been suffering from rampant crime on the subways.
This initiative is led by Mayor Eric Adams, Police Commissioner Edward Caban & Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey.
The chiefs will return to their headquarters, and work on suggestions on how to make riders feel safer on the subways.
A recent spate of high profile crimes on the subways have left riders feeling uneasy riding the subways, and this initiative is meant to address those fears.
