A fire broke out in Korns Bakery on 15th Avenue early Thursday morning, but was quickly brought under control resulting in no injuries in a bakery that operates nearly 24 hours a day.
The fire broke out around 2:45am, reportedly from an exhaust fan that was located between two ovens in the back section of the large bakery.
Photos and videos showed multiple FDNY units at the scene, including a ladder unit extended onto the roof.
The bakery staff continued to operate throughout the night and the famous bakery was seen out delivering their baked goods early am to the delight of their many customers.
