New Yorkers who use the ParkNYC app will not be able to complete transactions, nor access their accounts for four days, starting Thursday, Oct. 13, while the city’s Department of Transportation (DOT) updates the app.
During the DOT’s four-day maintenance period, which starts today, NYC residents can use coins, credit cards, and parking cards to pay at parking meters.
New Yorkers can use their ParkMobile apps and accounts for NYC zones until 11:59pm on Saturday, Oct. 15.
By Monday Oct. 17, however, New Yorkers must make all of their mobile parking payments through their ParkNYC apps.
On Monday, Oct. 17, the DOT will launch a new and improved ParkNYC app and additional fresh improvements to other ParkNYC e-wallets.
Before Monday, the DOT plans to send out e-mails to residents with instructions that explains how to transition their old ParkNYC apps to the new system, ParkNYC said.
