Shomrim Apprehends Suspect in Theft of Expensive Building Equipment

At around 3:00 a.m. Shomrim received a call that an electric bike had been stolen by a group of three men in the vicinity of 13th Avenue and 58th Street. 

Arriving on the scene, they followed the suspect until he abandoned the bike and fled onto the subway.   

This incident followed another theft on 13th Avenue and 57th Street, where a suspect smashed the back window of a car and stole expensive construction equipment. 

After they were called to the scene, members of Boro Park Shomrim located the suspect two blocks away, and NYPD placed him under arrest shortly thereafter.
