Viznitzer Rebbe Will Travel to America to Help Pay off Beis Medrash

The Viznitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Rav Yisroel Hager, shlit”a, is set to arrive in a week and a half to New York for a matter close to his heart.

Two weeks ago, the Rebbe called an urgent meeting for all his Chassidim earlier this week, at which he called for peace between all Yidden as an answer to the difficult winter that Klal Yisroel is experiencing. 

In the second part of his address, he noted that the massive new shul that the Chassidus erected has left an enormous debt of $24,000,000. “Although I am not signed on the checks, I feel the responsibility for this,” the Rebbe said. He asked the Chassidim of Eretz Yisroel to contribute 4000 NIS and appealed to those in America to give $2000 each to help pay off the debts. 

For this purpose, the Rebbe will arrive for a visit of a week and a half in which he will spend time with the Chassidim here and spend Shabbos Parshas Yisroi among American chassidim.
