Belzer Chassidim in U.S, Join Worldwide ‘Shabbos of Purity’

Shabbos Parshas Vayechi—when we lain the brocha of Yaakov Avinu to the children of Yosef that the names of their forefathers should be called upon them—holds great significance for the continuity of the holy chain of purity of Am Yisroel. 

 

To this end, this Shabbos Vayechi-Chazak has been designated by the Belzer Rebbe as a shabbos of Chazak, of strengthening and of reflection… for each and every Belzer chossid in the beautiful communities throughout the world to reflect—as an individual and as a community—upon how best to maintain the foundations of purity within their camp, specifically as it relates to the threats posed by technology. 

 

This year marks the fifth year of the Shabbos, which is called Tahareinu. 

 

Addresses of chizuk will be delivered in each and every shtiebel in Boro Park, Williamsburg, Staten Island and Lakewood—on Friday night as well as Shalosh Seudos—exhorting and inspiring the community toward a life of purity and holiness, and truly being worthy of carrying the name of our heilige forefathers.
