ORIGINAL REPORT 9:13AM:

A fire broke out early this morning on the upper level of a home on 60th Street, between 18th and 19th Avenues, resulting in injuries to five people.

The fire, which ignited in the apartment just hours after the family returned from their child's wedding, was quickly addressed by firefighters and Hatzolah. People were trapped in the house, necessitating evacuation.

Sadly, five family members were transported to the hospital with injuries. Among the injured are the Stavnitz Rov, the Rebbetzin, and their 13-year-old son, all of whom are reported to be in serious condition and transported to the Cornell Hospital.

Thankfully, the Sefarim and Sifrei Torah in the Stavnitz Shul, located on the first floor, were all reported to have been saved from the blaze.
