Mobile Library in Boro Park

As reported here, the Mapleton branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, located at the corner of 17th Avenue and 60th Street, announced its closure for renovations, with an estimated reopening date in 2026.

In an effort to maintain services, at least partially, the library has deployed a mobile unit on 18th Avenue and 57th Street. This mobile unit offers books and continues some services during this period until the library reopens to the public.

A librarian on the mobile unit informed a Boropark24 reporter, "We aim to serve the community even while our branch is closed, so we're here every two weeks to provide some of the services we can offer from this truck."
