Mounted Police Responding to Calls
By BoroPark24 Staff
Ever since October 7, Boro Parkers can see the NYPD Mounted Units parading on horses through our local streets daily, providing a sense of safety and security during these challenging times. Originally deployed to enhance security and surveillance in the neighborhood, they recently demonstrated their value when they intervened to save a special needs child from running into the street, preventing a potential tragedy as reported on BoroPark24.
Today, after months of providing additional security, they have become directly involved in responding to arrest calls in the area. In the morning, they responded to an incident at 36th St and Mina Ave where an individual had been assaulted, resulting in an arrest.
Later in the early afternoon, they were called to the scene at 15th Ave and 41st St where two individuals were arrested following multiple incidents of mail theft in the neighborhood over recent months.
As they continue to patrol our streets, let's take a moment to express our gratitude for their presence and for their efforts in keeping our streets safe, especially in these uncertain times.
