Mayor Eric Adams, Fulfilling his Promise, is taking first Paycheck in Crypto
“In New York we always go big, so I’m
going to take my first THREE paychecks in Bitcoin when I become mayor,”
Mayor Eric Adams said in November before winning the election.
Today, Thursday, Adams announced that he
will be converting his initial income to cryptocurrencies, fulfilling his
promise. This is a major step toward taking digital currencies to the next
level in New York, which Adams believes will be great for the economy.
“Being on the forefront of such innovation will help us create jobs, improve our economy, and continue to be a magnet for talent from all over the globe,” the mayor said in a prepared statement.
