Sefer Torah will be Dedicated to R’ Mordechai Zev Halberstam by Dear Friends

By: Yehuda Alter
Sunday will see crowds of Bobover chassidim gathered to
celebrate the completion of a sefer Torah in the memory of the unforgettable
Reb Mordechai Zev Halberstam, z”l.
Readers will recall the tragic passing of Reb Mordechai Zev
in the early days of the pandemic that so ravaged our community. He was a young
42-year-old father of a large family, and is remembered as a ba’al chessed who
helped many people.
The Sefer Torah was written by Reb Akiva Hersh Klein and Reb
Chaim Doniel Piekarsky, dear friends and work associates of ybl”ch the niftar.
Along with a committee of thirteen close friends of the
niftar, they will celebrate the inauguration of this sefer Torah in the Bobover
beis medrash this Sunday—leaving the Halberstam home, 1365 47th
Street, at 4:30 in the afternoon.
